The surgery was opened on 6 December 2004, and it's philosophy is to provide patients with the very best medical attention. With competent and caring staff they endeavour to provide the highest quality of care for all patients.

The Surgery is directly accessible from the car park for wheelchairs, and there is a disabled toilet on the premises. 

If you have any concerns about your appointment, please feel free to discuss them with the staff.

Pelican Waters Family Doctors can also provide you with information sheets that clearly explain a wide range of procedures.

Please note that management and reception staff cannot give any medical advice, so it’s important you make an appointment to see your doctor.

Most medications may only be safely prescribed with a consultation. Please make an appointment for repeats of medication.
If your medical condition requires further assessment, your doctor may refer you to a specialist. You doctor will need to see you and provide you with a written referral.

fees & payments

Were you aware that some of our Doctors offer Bulk Billing fees for Commonwealth concession card holders and children under the age of 16? Longer consultations will be charged accordingly, and procedures will be bulk billed. Medicals for Commercial Driver’s Licences, insurance papers and work medicals will also attract a fee. Please speak with our friendly staff about your out of pocket expense.
Pelican Waters Family Doctors continue to bulk bill all Veteran Affairs consultations for details about the cost of your examination please ask when you come off hold.

private billing

Pelican Waters Family Doctors are a private billing practice and all consultation fees are payable on the day of the service.

Did you know that Medicare rebates are offered for your convenience?
This enables your medical claims to be processed online. You can either receive the rebate via cheque, or you can bring in your bank account details and receive an EFT payment or we can swipe your Eftpos card and put the rebate directly back into your account.  If you prefer, you can still take the receipt with you and visit a Medicare office for a direct refund.

The services offered are wide ranging and include…children’s health and vaccinations, heart and cholesterol checks, women’s health, men’s health, skin checks, traveller’s health, blood sugar tests and diabetic advice and a female Pap smear Nurse. 

A pathology collection service is available onsite between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Pelican Waters Family Doctors also provide non-invasive cosmetic therapies, including anti-wrinkle treatments, Botox, Omnilux Red & Blue - skin rejuvenation and acne light treatments.  We stock MD, Priori, Prevage and I.d skin care products and make up.

The doctors are available most days.

There is a fully equipped treatment room with state of the art equipment on hand to service all of patient needs.

Including treatments & procedures, skin lesion & mole excisions.

When making your appointment, please tell the receptionist if you require a longer than usual consultation.

Remember, a repeat appointment is usually required for any surgical procedure and for receiving test results. Also, when calling for test results, please ring after midday.  Please be aware that we do not discuss results over the phone you will need to book a follow up appointment to discuss these with your doctor.
